I can officially say Merry Christmas, everyone! I’m not entirely sure how it’s already Christmas time, as this year flew by, but I’m excited to be able to pull out our tree and hang our lights! This year since we’re saving for a wedding and have been working on so many house projects, we didn’t want to go too crazy decorating for the season. So instead, I did a lot of online browsing and put together a list of my favorite affordable Christmas decor, in hopes to inspire you all to deck your halls. Everything on this list is under $40! Be sure to check for any coupons before shopping, as many of these retailers have sales around this time of the year.
When decorating for Christmas, I love the traditional greens and reds. I personally feel like without these colors, the decor doesn’t feel very Christmasy. I’m also really loving all the buffalo check and wood accents this year! Since I live in Florida, where it doesn’t get very cold and real garland is almost impossible to come by, the warm colors, buffalo check, and wood accents create such a cozy, wintery feel, that we don’t traditionally have down here. The one thing I did decide to buy this year to add to our Christmas decor was the Eucalyptus Pine Cone Garland from Hearth and Hand. I love it! It’s so full and pretty. You can see how I added to the garland to create a wow piece for my entertainment center on my DIY Holiday Garland post. Also, head on over to my Instagram page to see how I made other holiday decor for under $5! What trend are you loving this season? Do you stick to the red and greens? Or do you prefer to change it up every year? Happy shopping my friends!
